Day 2 of our wonderful work with Miller Homes as part of their Employment and Skills plan for their Boorley Gardens project. Today Carpentry students from Fareham College were able to get on site and learn more about the profession and Apprenticeship opportunities. Again, Juan, the Project Manager, did a fantastic job showing them around and answering all their questions. Along with Juan the students were also joined by the Site Manager for carpentry to discuss the types of work involved on site and the career options within carpentry.
"Apprenticeships provide a wide range of benefits for both the individual and the employer. They empower learners to build skills and secure employment that will support long-term career development. It was wonderful again to see the engagement from the students, who were very bright and asking questions about the industry and the career paths available," Glenn Harris, Social Value Executive, Build a Career.
