Working in collaboration with Piper homes/Hamelin Partnerships, we set up a site visit for students at the Bridge School in Malvern. The candidates are currently undergoing construction training and our Social Value Executive, Karl Johnson, set up a site visit for the the students to have first hand experience seeing how construction truly is on site! They also had the chance to speak to Land Partnership Manager, Andrew Browne and Mark Wood, the Site Manager who provided invaluable insight to the candidates who were really keen and engaged.
"Thank you for arranging today's visit to the site in Malvern. The students have appreciated this experience and it gave them a real insight to the possibility of a career in construction. They also benefited from the opportunity to meet and talk to industry experts. They were fascinated looking around the new-builds and it showed them the level of workmanship required," Ron Lewish, Tutor
"I just wanted to say a big thank you for arranging the trip today, I gave you the challenge and you stuck with us. We really appreciate your support and feedback was the pupils really enjoyed it and I hope we can do it again in the future," Lucy Hodgkins, Careers & Employability Manager.
A big thanks to Karl for putting this together and to Andrew Browne and Mark Wood for their contribution which made this event really inspirational.
